The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is a federally funded, private, nonprofit grantmaking organization that works to support freedom around the world, and seeks FALL 2019 interns to work in our Washington, D.C. office.  Students with a keen interest in the study and support of democracy around the world are encouraged to apply.

Each year, NED makes more than 1,600 grants to support the projects of non-governmental groups abroad who are working for democratic goals in more than 90 countries.  The Endowment is also the home of the International Forum for Democratic Studies, the Journal of Democracy, and serves as the secretariat for the World Movement for Democracy. The Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellows Program is an international exchange program that offers practitioners, scholars, and journalists from around the world the opportunity to conduct independent research on democracy in a particular country or region. The Center for International Media Assistance (CIMA) is a research and knowledge platform that aims to improve the effectiveness of media development around the world.
